So just what is the Dandy man? It is a man who puts importance into the details of his appearance or in the smartness of his dress. It can be in fit, style, colors, patterns, and or the combo of them all. Men...I want to know what Dandy is to you?

My friend Brendan invited me to go see a band Jamestown Revival. I had never heard of them, but I am always up for a little adventure. It was in Cincinnati on Tuesday the 17th of June at the 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati, Oh. If you made it, you heard a great band that marry's bluegrass, rock, and country. Similar to Avett Brothers. I was working at my friends store Stuart Mercer's Fine Gentleman's Clothing Store (check it out if you havn't) that day so I needed to dress in a way that I could work and be appropriate, but also go straight from there to the concert. This is what I came up with. Oh, and it was hotter than you know what! I wore a very breezy black shirt with studs from TJMAXX for $19.99. The snake skin jeans are from Old NAVY $19. The shoes are Jessica Simpson bought them on clearance at the end of the season last year at Dillards for $30. Jewelry is a combo of Stella and Dot and Premier. What would you wear to an indoor concert on a hotter that you know what day?
If in doubt...throw on a cowboy boot. Looks great with pants and dresses. Do you like the look? Would you wear them?
I like to frequent the local consignment stores in town because I love a unique treasure. Not to mention I am on a tight budget. I saw this dress on the hanger and made judgements...Kensie... It's a junior brand and I am no junior. Jersey material... Usually not that flattering on me. Black and white stripe...I love. Sequins...I love...so my love over-conquered the jersey material and juniors enough for me enough to try it on. When I tried it on I was pleasantly surprised. It was cute, comfy, and fit really well. This was a good example of maybe missing out on a great little number for the summer had I not tried it on. Effortless, thoughtless, one piece dressing...on a budget. Kensie dress $18.99. Someone's junk was my little treasure!
So my tip for the day...Say No To Crack! When you get dressed everyday, hopefully you look in the mirror and do a quick check before you leave the house. One thing we sometimes don't think to do in front of the mirror is to put ourselves in any other position other then standing to get the whole picture of how our outfit translates. Most of the time we fail to observe what it is like for everyone around us to see us in any other position then standing. Maybe take a few looks before you leave for the day. It might save you from being posted in my blog for what not to wear! I was out to dinner with some friends and this was my view... as the night went on...so did my view.
I don't know about you...but I find it challenging to come up with an outfit that is great for girl's night out. I'm at an age that I want to look great without showing too much. This particular night it was chilly outside so this is what I ended up with. What do you think about it? What would you wear for girl's night out?
